Chair Beth Hansen was reappointed by Governor Mike DeWine in April 2023 to a four-year term ending on March 31st, 2027. She was appointed as Chair Jan 1st, 2025. She most recently served as Chief of Staff for Governor John Kasich, and managed Kasich's 2010 race for Governor. Prior to her state service, she worked for eleven years as State Director and Senior Advisor to U.S. Senator George Voinovich. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Hansen was the Political Director for the Michigan's Republican National Party and worked on George H.W. Bush's 1988 presidential campaign. She and her family reside in Bexley, Ohio, and Commissioner Hansen has served as a member of the OSRC since 2019.
